PSA - Hotends Not Supported by Hero Me Gen7

UPDATED 6-8-2023: Updated the attached PDF with all the latest details on hotend and 3D printer support.

UPDATED 5-26-2023: Updated the attached PDF with all the latest details on hotend support. Also added information regarding intergrated extruder/hotend combos.

The following hotends are NOT supported by the Hero Me Gen7:

The following Integrated extruder/hotends are not compatible with the current Hero Me Gen7 design architecture.

Those listed above are all too large and too wide to fit into a Hero Me Base. In regards to the integrated extruders, I will be developing specific solutions based upon the Hero Me part cooling ducts with ABL/ADXL345 mounts for as many of these integrated extruder/hotends as is possible. ETA sometime in the Summer of 2023.

While the Hero Me Gen7 supports the new Creality 'Neo' family of 3D printers (Ender 3 Neo, Ender 3 V2 Neo, and the Ender 3 Max Neo), the stock hotend used in the 'Neo' family of 3D printers is not supported.

This hotend, along with the others shown above, are the few hotends that the Hero Me system can not support. The maximum width for hotends that will fit in the Hero Me Gen7 Base is 26.8mm wide. The hotends shown range from 29mm-38mm wide. The Creality 'Neo' hotend is currently only found in the three Creality Ender 3 based 'Neo' models.

If you have a 3D printer that has one of these hotends and you want to upgrade your printer to take advantage of the Hero Me system, replace the hotend with one from any of the fully compatible hotends listed below.

Over 46 hotend models are supported by the Hero Me Gen7:

Comments

I am sorry but integrated extruder/hotends including the Ender S1 Sprite (along with the Micro Swiss NG, Titan Aero, BIQU H2, E3D Hemera, and the Bondtech LGX Shortcut), are not compatible with the current Hero Me design architecture (including Gen7). They are all too large, too wide, to fit into a Hero Me Base. The Hero Me was designed before these integrated extruder/hotend combos were developed. To make a Hero Me fit these assemblies it would no longer be a Hero Me as it would not be compatible with any of the hundreds of parts from both my Master Suite and the over 650 remixes and add-ons created by the community. On a more positive note, I have partnered with another 3D designer/ mechanical engineer to develop Hero Me based part cooling ducts with ABL mounts for the Ender S1 Sprite and the others listed above. We hope to have them available in the near future.

will you be making a HMG7 for the ender 3 s1 series? or do you have one that will work with it?
