Dynamic Dungeons Editor 1.0.19
Added 2025-01-22 16:01:07 +0000 UTCHi guys, a small update for Dynamic Dungeons Editor has been released, which includes the following fixes and features:
- Possibility of not having the default assets loaded when the program starts (This is good for users with weaker computers and less RAM. It speeds up the application if you turn it off in Settings. If you turn it on again, the default library will reappear. If you only want particular assets from the default library, you can download them separately from here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1dvQsT1BKJaFjOt9N55kxjU4mS4inGaKL?usp=sharing )
- In FOW mode you can scroll to zoom in and out and undo FOW operations (no more accidental reveal)
- Videos, animations random frame start on/off from settings
- The measurement was inaccurate in "locked grid" mode. This has been fixed.
The update will automatically download in your Steam library.
I will expand the weather presets and other effects. Let me know what you would like to get.
I wish you epic adventures at your gaming table!

I just picked up the editor and am really enjoying it. Thanks for the hard work! I'm still learning so if some of my below suggestions are present, I apologize. Weather and weather-like suggestions: Lightning storm without rain/lightning strikes, exploding meteorite shower (kind of like the old Avernus Encounter map without the shadow skull), "shadow-effects" (e.g. dragon flying overhead, airship overhead, giant sphere overhead, partial eclipse, other overhead objects), rainbow effect (perhaps this is more a particle effect?), rumble/earthquake effect. I know you have follow-on particle effects, but some sort of follow-on/spreading water effect to simulate a growing flooded space would also be useful, especially if we could control where it spreads to (in keeping with the weather theme) - this could probably be modified to appear as blood, ooze, oil, or any other liquidy substance to streak over your amazing maps. Similarly, follow on/spreading fire would be useful to more easily simulate a spreading fire. Finally, for particle effects: you have the "smoke twister" but a tornado would also be useful, a large meteor strike that left a crater/fire would be awesome, a drawable line of crackling energy/lightning would be very cool for both spell and weather effects (suggestions for more spell effects is a whole other category, lol). I'm going to stop there because that is probably already way too much work, lol. I hope some of those thoughts are useful to get your creativity going!
Loot Die Repeat
2025-01-25 22:42:37 +0000 UTCWell, that's strange, I don't encounter that at all. Are you on Mac or Win? The reason for not making longer videos is that the file size would be significantly larger and the program would eat up much more memory. Do you only experience this with particular videos?

2025-01-25 06:20:09 +0000 UTCI have to admit the small studder when a video loops is making it bad. I have to lenghten all videos by myself so there is no sounddrop and no studder every 30 seconds. The software is made for this but doesn't loop it right, for me it's a no go

Deathtothemortals
2025-01-22 20:53:26 +0000 UTCThis is great. We love this product so much. I'd like to see a crossfade option for video backgrounds because some creators don't make their videos seamlessly loop and some mild crossfade would help with the map repeat stutter.
