SAY HELLO TO HEATWAVE!! Im being very self indulgent and cringe here, but this is Horizon’s version of Celestia’s Daybreaker form!
I’ve had her rattling around in my brain for a while and I thought it would be fun to fully delve into an AU where the pressure of horizon’s position gets to her.

Heatwave can’t fly, the large scar at the base of her wing is actually a large scar that rests in the centre of her back and bleeds over into both wings. It was caused by a failed spell to remove her wings entirely, but since it failed the magic damaged the muscles inside her wings, leaving her flightless. The scars on her cutie mark were self inflicted, and serve as a physical rejection of her position as she rejects role of princess and goes rogue. Being permanently stuck with wings she didn’t want, and now wings that can’t even function, was her tipping point.

Though she can’t fly, one flap of her wings can cause a large wave of heat, and she can, as her name implies, cause heatwaves. Her hooves and horn are far too hot to touch, and she damages the soil wherever she walks, meaning nothing can grow there. She doesn’t have her glasses in this form also, mostly Because it just. Didn’t work with the aesthetic. But idk I’ll tie in the lore somewhere that her vision corrected itself or something. Her pupils are red slits now so I’m sure that can tie in somehow LMAO.

The darker markings on her body are meant to mimic the look of soot? And OFC her mane and tail are pure fire now, which can grow bigger, larger and more wild if she feels any intense emotion.
It is very edgy and self indulgent but it’s fun as hell. She’s not really ’evil’ per-say, she’s just very mentally damaged and has let everything boil over in her mind, she’s very unstable and can’t control her emotions very well. She’s isolated almost completely mostly because the heat she radiates means most ponies can’t get close to her anyway, but also from purposeful isolation.
