FLY | Heike Monogatari x Inu-Oh AMV

First, this AMV. I had it in mind for a while, and with Anime Boston coming up I decided to make it as a submission to that contest. It won't be public until I find out whether it got accepted as a finalist, it'll probably be my March upload if not April. I'm using Patreon's video uploader as a test, what do you think? The reason you have it now is because I didn't manage to make my intended February video, the song in it's current form blocked it worldwide. This plus (certain unrelated stupid shit) on Tuesday really set me back on completing it by Valentine's Day (it's about love), even just to upload privately here, and whenever I miss an intended upload date it really kills my motivation even further. I think as it stands I want to get the vid to a state where I can share it with mutuals for what I have in mind to make it releasable on YouTube, so it won't be a patron exclusive as I at first considered. I was in a rush with the video anyway given my other jobs so I'm taking this as a silver lining. However I feel bad that I left you guys hanging so I figure may as well give you SOMETHING that was finished on time.

Instead of the Valentine's vid, I think I have enough things to talk about to make an update video on the channel, but I'm currently waiting on hearing back from Anime Boston about panels I submitted (and the AMV), so for now I got captions to do (work). It feels dumb to charge for an update video especially when a good chunk of it will be stuff you're hearing about here, so I'm gonna charge for this post and maybe make something else to charge for the month this AMV goes public...or just one of the Digests as I've done a few other months.

Lastly I want to move forward on play-testing the game show I've been designing, I did a sample test (not the full game) with my roommates which went pretty well, but I think in this lull with my videos it's time to really practice it. This game requires 4 players and 2 game masters, each player submits a country of origin and a list of 200 anime they've completed/watching and it does require that everyone involved is comfortable and able to voice chat on discord (I'll probably make it it's own server when it becomes more official but this playtest will be on the patron discord, if you're not there please message me for an invite). The game is designed so that it doesn't have to be ME hosting it every time, in fact I'll sometimes want to be the "Navigator" game master and a player so I can see from all those perspectives. I want to play the first game next Saturday Feb 24th 6PM EST, it won't be that time EVERY time but one of the ways I need this to work is that it's a consistent reliable time. If you'd like to participate you can DM me here or Discord, space for each game is limited of course but we're gonna ideally play it multiple times to refine the process.
