Notice of hiatus (and Patreon suspension)

Hello everyone, 

A few days ago I still imagined I could manage to finish one of my animations by the end of December, but no, it won't be the case. I initially thought about just pausing billing for another month. But it would mean pausing for the 3rd consecutive month just because I can't get 2 poor animations out... 

So let's ask ourselves one thing: is it really normal? At the beginning we could argue that I just made a poor choice of poses to animate (and by that I mean that they are too complicated for me). 

But it's way simpler than that: I suck at animation and don't progress with it because I barely spend time practicing it at the moment. Does it mean that I'm not motivated to be an animator? No. Can't I accept to release poorly animated scenes and that I can't work on them because I have no idea how animation works? DEFINITELY. 

During the past year I saw many new animators coming from nowhere and being able to release awesome animations every 2/3 weeks while I can't finish just one in 4 fucking months. And let's be honest, it will remain like this as long as I won't allow myself the time to really learn and practice animation. I bought an animation course 2 years ago for 130 € iirc, and to date I barely started it cause I simply don't have time for it between my job and content creation (either be artworks or... "animations"). I want to be all these colleagues who come from nowhere and immediately produce great things because they took the time to study, learn and practice. Same regarding model creations. I now just forbid myself to work on models because I can't find the time for it anymore.

I'm really brassed off. This situation lasted for way too long and it has to end. 

The only solution for me is to quit, COMPLETELY. No more artworks, no more "animations". For the time being I don't want to owe anything to anyone and I look for being able to just learn and practice animation and 3D without having to worry about the content I release and the time I invest each week on Blender. 

This means that billing will be paused once again for January 2024 and that on January 31th, this Patreon page will be suspended so nobody won't be able to subscribe to it anymore (if only Patreon had a vacation mode like Subscribestar -_-'). I could just suspend it at the end of December but I don't want this to be brutal and to also find a way to thank all of you for the support you brought to me since I oppened this page.

People who subscribed during the past few days will get a message from me with the link of the October/November archive with the content that was released during this period. 

I'll come back when I'll feel decent on animation and comfortable enough to release an animation in two weeks without struggling too much. No idea when it will be case 😔

I'll post one last update in the coming days to share a way of thanking current and past patrons for their support.
