Added 2025-11-16 04:34:15 +0000 UTCWhen I was a kid, back during the original run of Cheers, I remember imagining that it was Woody Harrelson singing this song. Anybody else? The series finale was the first time in my life that a television episode felt like a major event. It seemed like such a big deal that this tv show, which had always been on, was ending. It felt important that I tape it when it aired in order to save it for posterity. I'm looking just now at the date it aired, and realizing that it was about a month before I started playing the guitar. I guess the end of Cheers left a void that could only be filled by learning music. This video was filmed in the bathroom before a live studio audience.
