Secret Project Sneak Preview

For some time now, my wife Annie and I have been developing a nature guide book together. It is in the early stages, and not quite ready to be released out into the wild, but I plan to start sharing the drawings and paintings we've finished here with you first.
Much of this is conceptual art, so the text and design may change as we go along. What is certain is that the project features characters and scenes on a much smaller scale than the rest of our work, exploring places often unseen or overlooked by humans.
The project will feature a lot of pencil work like these, but will also have a lot of color paintings as well. I should hopefully have one figure in color to share with you later this month (standing in as our Monster of the Month for January). I'm still undecided on which one though! Possibly on the Bramble Hag, or possibly this fine fellow:
I can't say much more yet, but wanted to share this sneak preview with you as we get started.
