At 9:13 on October the 8th, I had just let my dogs out and was standing on the porch when I heard something crunching in the woods near my house. The dogs barked and ran back to the door. As I turned to look toward the direction of the sound I was startled by a tiny creature with 4 wings and a frog face that flew up to me from the brush, and then flew away at great speed. It was as if it had tried to warn me in some forest language that I couldn't hear or understand. As I watched it fly up into the shadows, my eyes registered upon something slowly swaying in the darkness behind it. In the space between two trees a giant thing stood, ten feet tall, with two long arms that reached down to the ground. Its mouth was open, and its eyes were staring straight at me.
My first thoughts were of this being impossible. It was some trick of the light. Was I seeing leaves blowing in the breeze? Or shadows from the moon? It was too dark to see, and my phone flashlight did nothing to illuminate the distant space, save but to create a pair of jeweled reflections in the dark eye sockets of the head that hung low between the thing's shoulders. It did not move, save but to sway back and forth, staring at me with its mouth open. By now the dogs were scratching frantically at the door, panicked to get inside, so I let them and stepped in myself.
Had I seen something just now? Was I going crazy? I had to know, so I turned to go back out. First though, as I had seen a few horror films in the past, I decided to grab a flashlight. As I rummaged in a drawer for one, my senses started to come back to me. There was no monster of course. It was silly. It was just a limb blowing in the breeze that caught the moonlight in a strange way. And my dog's panic had spooked me into thinking it was something more. I would go out there with a flashlight, find some vines there between the trees, realize that I had let myself get spooked by some ferns, and that would be the end of it.
But when I came back with the light just a minute later ...the place where it had been, was totally empty.
Coming back inside 10 minutes later, I scribbled this little sketch, which I would later share on Discord:
Today, I have tried to draw the creature in greater detail. I haven't yet mentioned its most peculiar feature, which was that the arms appeared to be wrapped in great bones, as if it wore the rib cages of great pythons as striped sleeves.
Here is my drawing of it based on my recollection:

I went out several more times more throughout the night last night, and looked in the place where it stood for tracks, or some kind of evidence. But in the darkness I found nothing. Nor any trace of the curious frogbat creature that warned me. I need to do a drawing of that little fellow next, as he may have saved my life and perhaps I now owe him some favor in return:

Going back out today to the place, I found the leaves disturbed and a small tree smashed in half:

I cannot explain this. And I losing my mind? Or did I really see something between the trees, and if I did, what did it want?
I am waiting out again for it tonight. If I die, this is what killed me...
