"The Zombrog" Monster of the Month for October 2023
Added 2023-10-03 12:59:01 +0000 UTCOur first monster this month is a zombie frog, controlled by the Frog Necromancer! Where is it going? Are there more?? What is its unholy mission? Can we eat them?
I had hoped to have the other minions from the Sunken Dungeon Denizen poster ready as well, but the month is still young! I am still missing the Vampole, the Barnacle Oddity, and the Tiny Toad minions before this one can be called complete. Here is where it stands today in my rough layout:

In the Process Guide, you can see the steps I used to create the Zombrog. It is largely the same method as I've previously shared, except that with this one I spent a bit longer on the monochrome underpainting. This is because my initial sketch was so rough. Usually I prefer to do a full clean drawing, but sometimes the sketch just nails it, and it seems like it would be hard to improve upon. On a personal note, this one was exciting for me because, even with the extra monochrome stage, I still got the character done in about 4 hours, a time-frame that was a dream goal of mine when I started this project.
