October Roadmap (to Halloween!)

Welcome to October and our Annual Halloween Battle! This year, we leave the pastoral fields, and the desolate peaks, and journey now to a forgotten swamp, and a cursed, ancient ruin that should have been left alone... 

Each week this month we will be working on this Halloween battle scene, live on twitch, including some bonus streams (likely on Fridays). It's a highly complex scene with tons of action, nonetheless we are ratcheting up the difficulty even more by attempting to finished the painting during October, (instead of a pathetic mid-November finish like we normally do...) in the hopes that we can offer it as part of a print set collection of all our halloween battles by the end of the month. Along with the hi-res for this battle scene, you can also expect a new brush set, and a step-by-step tutorial on it dropping later this month. 

So who are we battling this time??? 

The main creature featured in this month's battle is the "Gloomwald," (a slight variation of an older monster called "the glom" that I was just never satisfied with). Close observers may also notice a few stumpy Meepees lumbering around as well! Here is a preview of the battle:

I am very excited about this, and plan to dive in this coming Wednesday on Twitch.  It will be a crazy challenge, but one I have been looking forward to for a while. We have had to really hold back on the animated crazy scenes this year with most of our client work, so I'm looking forward to going wild for a little bit! 

Other treats this month include bonus hi-res work from the Faerie Queene, Fanstratics creature designs, and another batch of Trudvang illustrations!
