Today I have a huge batch of Book six illustrations from the FAERIE QUEENE! Book six is the final book Edmund Spenser finished before his death, and is the last book I will be working on. I have loved working on this project and can't wait to see how the final book series turns out when it is printed.
TODAY'S BONUS ILLUSTRATION POLL:
However, I am not *quite* finished with the Faerie Queene. While my contract is now up on the project, and we will be officially moving on to our next contract (which I will reveal next month) I can still add more illustrations to the book if I want. So I plan to do a couple on my own out of dedication to the project. And YOU lot are going to help me! Later today, I will be conducting a poll here on Patreon and YOU all will choose what drawing(s) we take to full color before the book is sent to the printer.
Until then, enjoy these latest ones from the series. I will keep you all posted on the final release date the books!

(Yes, this is a man wrestling a bear, to save a baby. Yes, that is exactly what you are seeing here.)

This giant was tricked into swinging at Arthur and accidently breaking his own leg with his own mace. Arthur, (who we must only see in an over-the-shoulder shot, because Justin Gerard is illustrating this) barely had to lift a sword. Most days since having kids, I feel like the giant here.

This guy literally kills a thousand pirate kidnappers in a cave. You have to read the book to find out more.

The creature depicted above and below is the blatant beast. Which was sort of a metaphor Spenser used to describe gossip. the lady below is being carried off by it. Spenser liked this metaphor because he felt that all the evil gossiping of this period was destroying England. I love this kind of personification of human vice!

I hope you've enjoyed these! This project has been a blast to work on for me.
