September Roadmap

Welcome to September! DRAGONCON month! You can expect a bit more mayhem than usual, more content, more VODs, and more traditional art. (And hopefully no con-crud...) 

I have a lot of new work to share with you and hopefully some fun convention stories and updates. If you are attending DragonCon this year, come visit us September 2-5 in Hyatt Regency Grand Hall, booth 108. 

Also, Annie and I are doing 3 demo talks at the show:

• Saturday 4PM : The Making of the DragonCon T-shirt in Grand Hall C
• Sunday 10AM : Working from Home in Grand Hall D
• Sunday 2:30PM : Creating A Dragon Demo in Grand Hall D

And with DragonCon here, this month I will have a lot of new art for the show that I will be sharing. First, I did a small series of classic fantasy pencil portraits and those will be posted this week along with a boatload of other hi-res imagery for the $5 tier. (INCLUDING, a boatload of TRUDVANG work that I finally have clearance to share!!) 

I will also be sharing a Tutorial for the DragonCon T-shirt design, which was based on a Dungeon Master Series collaboration illustration that I did the drawing for, and Annie did the oil painting for! I am really excited to share this one with everyone. 

Speaking of tutorials, last month we updated our Youtube VOD playlist post with the FANSTRATICS VOD playlist. Subs to the Tutorials Tier can find the post here (and if you haven't signed up for the tier, you should consider it if you'd like to watch any of the old livestreams! We are adding new ones every month.)

There will be a few less Twitch streams this month because of the show, but when we come back we have more Fanstratics, more martians, stories from the Con, and a really cool new pencil and paper combo to share. I'd also like to livestream the painting of the Dragon Doc sculpt from Robot Rocket minis. Unfortunately, there will be no #Letsdrawmonsters this month, but we may have another community challenge instead if we have time. (Details on that soon...)

Mentorships this month will be slightly delayed to give me some time to unpack after the show. Here is the schedule:

If you've signed up in the mentorship tier please let me know which of these times works best for you! They are first come, first served. If none of these times work for you please message me and we will find something that works in the following week. And please bear with me if it takes a day or 2 to respond as I will be trying my best to survive DragonCon for the first week this month!
