#LETSDRAWMONSTERS18 Prompt!

THE PROMPT:

For all of recorded history, mice have lived around and amongst people. Sneaking into our homes, stealing food, and silently making tunnels, burrows, and holes everywhere. And who could blame them? We tend have nice warm houses and drop a lot of food. Some of us also lack cats. But mice can also bring disease and destroy our homes, which has caused much hostility towards these little creatures. In my old country there was a legend of the nocturnal infernal. Farmers would often find mice living in their homes during this time of year. Often when they did, the mouse was evicted, it's tidy little nest destroyed, it's winter stores burned up, and itself thrown into the forest to face the ravening predators and oncoming winter alone and defenseless.  But according to our legends, one must not touch the mouse, or their home, on Halloween. For if a mouse is evicted on Halloween's eve, and it dies cruelly, bereft of its shelter and home, its bones and spirit may return to haunt the farmstead that so cruelly mistreated it. When it returns, it is said to be as a skeleton on fire. And in its state, it will run hither and thither, causing brushfires, panic, and chaos on Halloween night. 

So let this be a word of caution to you who find a mouse in your house on Halloween and plan to do it harm.  Lest the Nocturnal Infernal return to haunt you...
