#LETSDRAWMONSTERS17 Prompt

Today, we are doing #LETSDRAWMONSTERS LIVE from DragonCon in Atlanta! We will attempt to livestream this from my phone starting at 5:30 EST.  (Hence the very abbreviated reference page!)

THE PROMPT:

Welcome to Georgia, where we've been overrun by many an invasive species. Kudzu, gypsy moths and feral hogs are just a few of the creatures that have sought to take us over. But there is a new terror to add to the list: The Marshland Owligator; a mysterious creature out of prehistory which has been said to have reappeared here in the swamps of Georgia. As if it wasn't bad enough here in the southeast to have the waters around us filled with carnivorous reptiles, now there might be even worse in the treetops above. So what do we know about these creatures? We know that they ruled the canopy jungles of the late cretaceous period. We know that they are primarily nocturnal and hunt at night by descending silently out of inky darkness to catch their prey. But while stealthy, they lack the elegance of most raptors, and when they attack their prey, they simply crash into them, lock their jaws, and go into a death roll. 

In the records, their diet primarily consisted of the now-extinct shrewphalent. With these diminutive mammals gone, it is anyone's guess what they will hunt now that they have taken up residence here. Particularly now, as the suburban sprawl begins to encroach ever more and more deeply into ancient, prehistoric swamplands... 

In this challenge, your job is to design your version of the Marshland Owligator, hunter of the diminutive shrewphalent.

TONIGHT'S SHOW is going to be VERY different. It is a 1-hour show, so it will be quite compressed. It will also be live from my phone, which I have never done before. (Expect absolute chaos!) Lastly, I won't be able to review everyone's entries while I'm live and will instead be sharing everyone's entries this Saturday at 5PM EST. However, I am going to try and have someone read out any questions in the Twitch comments.
