"The Librarian" Monster of the Month Rewards Box!

Those of you who've watched our Twitch streams will know how I feel about libraries. Well let me introduce you to "The Librarian", our Monster of the Month for August 2021. Now, some of you will think this is about me processing my past guilt, from "not returning" certain items from libraries in years past. Nothing could be further from the truth, I just like to draw people as toads!

But the heist didn't go precisely according to plan. My original take on the character involved a blindfold, as this character was someone who, in spite of being entrusted with books, secretly hated them, and so wore a blindfold while censoring the books containing the most unmentionable abominations. However, the blindfold just didn't work. The character didn't read well, she didn't emote. So I did a rework, which is why there is no clean process guide this month. When I went back through it all it was too much of a mess for even me to make sense of.

The brush set however, went really well! I made a new drawing pencil brush to help with the redraw of this one. "Librarian Ink" And the other "space themed" ones were made for painting a star field for an NDA project I cannot speak of. There's a little sci-fi illustration I'm working on that hopefully I'll be able to share soon. "Astral Projection" and "Starry Night" are both going to be new favorites for textured background and atmosphere painting.
