Land of Eem Watercolor Digital Process Guide

Here is the final version of our Land of Eem illustration, commissioned for the Rickety Stitch series. (You can check the upcoming RPG game the image will appear in here!)

The process I used to paint this was my old watercolor and digital method, which is a little more complex than my usual pencil and digital approach. So today I thought I would put together a Process Guide to share with you to break down the major stages I go through when developing an image like this.

We covered a lot of the traditional painting process for this image on our Twitch stream, where we talked a lot about snakes, frogs, falling off cliffs, and how I like to use reference for these types of images. If you'd like to watch through any of those VODs, they will be up on my past broadcasts for another few weeks. Thank you to everyone who came to keep us company on stream while we painted this!

I hope you enjoy it! And a big thanks to the team over at Land of Eem for such a fun commission!
