This month's Monster is... "The Mantisquirrel"

PROMPT:

The mantisquirrel is a magical imp. It is a solitary creature, which is rarely seen today, but was common enough in the ancient world. While descriptions of it vary, it is said to have the mane of a lion, the body of a common squirrel, the tail of a scorpion, and bat wings. It can speak, and human interaction with the creature are found in many an ancient text. If captured, it is said that this creature will grant a wish in exchange for its release. However, in the classic tales, these wishes often turn out to be the undoing of those who dared to catch the mythical mantisquirrel...
