Our Prompt for Today is:
"The Fox-Tailed Frostodile"
Backstory:
"The fox-tailed frostodile, hunter of the rare arctic fur frog, was a small, gregarious creature which once reportedly inhabited a small chain of islands along the arctic circle. Frostodiles were said to have been highly active, playful, and unafraid of humans. Sadly, due to a fatal combination of their highly trusting nature, and a pelt of unfathomably high value, they were hunted to extinction sometime in the middle of the 19th century. Their diet subsisted of arctic terns, fish, and allegedly, fur frogs, though the fur frogs too have not been seen in over a hundred years. The islands they lived on, which once sprawled for miles, have now shrunk to but a mere scrap of rock in the ocean. While a live frostodile hasn't been seen in over a hundred years, it is rumored that a small colony still exists, kept in secret from the hunters who once nearly eradicated them for their prized pelts."
