This one was a ton of fun to work on and I'm glad we were able to sneak it in this month! Thank you to everyone who came to hang out with us on stream while we pencilled and painted it. Your suggestions and comments were invaluable as we refined the character design. Sorry the handguns and nunchucks didn't make it in this time, but we got some great little narrative ideas while we were on stream! (...Like these children who were on the naughty list!)
And before I go, thank you all for your support this year! You have been an amazing community here and on the discord, and it's only because of you that any of the Monster of the Month, or Plague of Dragons, or Dungeon Master Series, #LETSDRAWMONSTERS, Twitch, or any of the other crazy things that I have always wanted to paint were even possible. I am so grateful you all have given me this opportunity and I can't wait to see where we go in 2021!!

Hi Bailey! I work exclusively in 8-bit (for illustration). Primarily this has to do with the printers we work with. Currently, none of them support (or can really take advantage of) 16-bit. This may change in the future of course, but for now, 8-bit is simpler and just makes it easier for me to do both CMYK physical prints and simple web-ready sRGB files for social media. I think 16-bit is great for photos though, especially if you shoot in RAW.

2020-12-28 15:05:05 +0000 UTCThanks Rok! I think this was my second or 3rd fastest. I screwed around a bit in the last little section trying to fine tune some of the lighting. I think it was worth it, but it probably cost this one first place for fastest.
