"The Emperor of the Forest" Hi-Res

We painted this image live for a few streams on Twitch if you'd like to see any of the livestreams. They showcase some spectacular livestream fails, like this guy: The Invasive Pine-Eating Stag Beetle!
We finally did fix it, but it took a lot more work than it should have!
We decided to paint The Emperor of the Forest this month because I was just really keen on doing some winter imagery (in the vain hope that it might bring us some snow) and ahhhhh was it nice to wander around in peaceful landscapes for a bit! Next year will bring a lot of new images, some of chaos, some of magic, and it may be a while before we get to do any quiet images like this one again. This was a fun one to end on as we move into 2021, where we will begin work on some tales and legends from classic fantasy literature...
