Welcome to August! As you might can guess by the title, we are going to be sharing A LOT of dragons this month!

Subs can expect a few bonus high-res wallpapers of some of my classic dragon images this month and I will be creating and sharing some new toothy terrors as the month progresses.

But what else can we expect???

For the Classic Fantasy Art Tier: First off, Last month was awesome! We actually finished these two new paintings for A Plague of Dragons:

The Dragon Dance and Downfall. And also offered a process guide for them. We did most of the work while live on Twitch as well if you want to go back and rewatch the progress!

After that we released our new Carbon Brush Set and painted Hobbes and the Leviathon using the new brushes live on Twitch.

In July we also got started on some new ones from the Plague of Dragons series and we plan to finish those and share them here this month. However, they are only the appetizer! The main course will be something completely different. We are going to be doing a very metal 80's cover work for a fantasy magazine this month and I will be sharing the progress sketches and development work, as well as the final art, here on the Patreon. To The Gates of Hell will be our Classic Fantasy Illustration for August. I am super excited to get sketching on this one! We plan to livestream a lot of the progress for this Wednesdays at 10AM EST on Twitch. And speaking of Twitch...

#LETSDRAWMONSTERS community challenge for August falls on the 5th! So be here that morning for a preview of our challenge and tune in to https://twitch.tv/justingerardillustration at 10AM EST to take part in the challenge!

The Monster of the Month image for the month is going to be an ambitious one, and as you might expect, will be very.... dragon-y! I highly doubt I will hit the 5 hour challenge for this one. Here is a preview thumbnail if you care to guess just what kind of dragon we will be taking on this time!:

Next, A new chapter from Drawing Dragons will be featured for this month's Tutorial tier. More on that soon as well! Possibly on the above dragon...
