Welcome to the #LETSDRAWMONSTERS creature design challenge for June 2020!
This month's creature:
"THE GREAT HORNED SCOWL"
LORE: The Scowl is one of the little people. Often mistaken for a gnome or garden elves, they are more like mischievous imps based on their peculiar behavior and shape-shifting appearances. They are rarely seen, and then only at night, or in the very early morning before the sun rises. They are elusive, ill-tempered, and do not like to be watched. They reportedly have the face of an owl, with all its knowing and noble intelligence, but the body of a furtive and ever-moving squirrel. They are finders of valuable things and buriers of treasure. Keys, coins, buttons, eyeglasses, and left socks are items commonly found in their little caches. A single scowl may have 100 such hidden caches, stretched out over a wide range of garden, forest and field. Once a scowl buries something, it will always know it is there, but no scowl has ever been observed retrieving any of the items they hide. Indeed, it appears that they have no use for any of their buried treasures, but rather that they bury them so that others might not have them.
The Twitch Livestream starts at 10AM EST, today on https://twitch.tv/justingerardillustration
