Hey folks, it's been awhile since we did a Spent Rounds. Well, here's what's been happenin' and comin' around the corner.

I dropped Danger Girl Vol 2 a couple days ago. Very happy with how well my collaboration with Studio Pirrate went, and we're looking forward to future projects. Will see how well we can proceed, as lots of life stuff needs to be navigated - kids, sick parents, etc.

And now I'm back at my render rig, and going full hog on finishing Power Girl. Aiming for an end-of-month release. Will post more sneak peeks as the weeks proceed.

Some of you might remember one of my early sets - All That Glitters. It was one of the first major sets I did, and frankly one of my biggest disappointments. I've removed it from my library, as it's become an eyesore to me.

There were several poor design and rendering choices I made as I crunched it out in 2021. I was still new and learning at the time. But the biggest mistake I made was bimboficating the girl till she became unattractive to me. And she deviated too much from the guy who got Weird Scienced. I used two different models entirely, which (I felt) broke immersion. 😑

As I was working on Danger Girl in September, I took to doing some test renders. ☝ I wanted to experiment on gender-bending a model, which is a bit of a challenge. But at least the guy-and-gal share the same basic bone structure (facially or otherwise). I think I came up with a relatively attractive-yet-bumbling antihero. 😏

And I've also decided to use the DC Universe for backdrop, as this tale of corporate espionage fits well with current lore. Our very unsympathetic protag is a prick named Jamie who works for Wayne Enterprises. He was trying to sell corporate secrets to Lex Luthor, but the latter had other ideas. After being put through some aforementioned Weird Science, Jamie gets thrown back into Wayne to get to the stuff that Lex is hunting. Shenanigans ensues. 😋

This might be a fun comic project at some point in the future. For a change, it'll be a more lighthearted comedy of errors, and I'll probably write it from the third person (similar to PG Prologue). But for now, I'm still on schedule on completing Power Girl and subsequently moving onto Batgirl.

For now, hope you guys like this short revamp of this older set utilizing what I know about rendering now. It was nice to just render some shots as I worked on finishing my latest 2D comic last month.
