Methods and Madness

Hey folks,

Here is this month's Spent Rounds.  This is a bit special one for me as I'm coming out of running the gauntlet at work for about two months.  I had hoped to work on Alice's next chapter during these past two months (and I did), but I didn't make nearly as much progress due to my day job taking me to 70 hour weeks.  Next week will be my last one where I'm bent over a barrel and made to take it up the poop-chute.

Truth be told - these past two months have taken a toll on my physical and mental health.  But oddly enough, it was also one of the most creative periods I've had.  The few hours I got to work on art stuff, I ended up coming up with some neat mini sets and renders.  I've learned that even with a free Patreon and even if I was exhausted from work, I still came back to my render rig as a way to decompress.  I've learned that I'll probably always be creating, and that thought makes me happy.

So starting in May, my Patreon is back to collecting pledges.  If you liked the kind of stuff I've come up with these past few months, then expect that is what you'll get for supporting me.  I'm working on the rest of the Indiana Jones set for May, after which I'll take a short vacation at the end of the month.

After that, I'm really hoping that I can come back to Alice.  It's not that she lost my interest.  In fact, she's my biggest inspiration.  But working on her stories is hugely taxing on my creative skills - both in terms of art and writing.  I was just too tired to give her the attention she deserves.  I'm kind of a perfectionist, and I find I won't work on her stories unless I've got a fire in the gut and a bit of madness in the brain.  But at least there's plenty of lesser ladies to distract me while I work my way back around to the prima donna.

I hope you've all enjoyed what I've come up with these past few months.  I can't thank you enough for supporting me as it really does help me afford the assets and software I need to keep creating.  I don't charge much as I want everyone to feel like they're getting more than their money's worth.  So I hope you all stick around as I keep coming up with awesome new scenes.

Thanks for reading thus far.  I've collected all the Spent Rounds from previous months and attached them as wallpapers above.  It really helps me frame the time that's passed by while I've worked on a few things.
