We picked this up...
Added 2025-06-26 13:37:01 +0000 UTCA couple of years ago, when we took our movie "How to Kill Monsters" to Frightfest London for it's world premier, we picked up this cool hardback written by another York resident, horror expert (and lovely chap) Gavin Baddeley, with a foreword by none other than Dog Soldiers director, Neil Marshall.
If you think you know all the movies to feature werewolves (at least up to 2019), you might be surprised - there's a whole bunch of movies we'd never even heard of!
If you get a chance, check it out! We might even cover it a little bit on a future live-stream.
Incidentally, if you've never seen "How to Kill Monsters", check out the trailer - you might spot some familiar faces ;)

Oh man, obscure horror is my wheelhouse; especially werewolf movies! Some of my personal recommendations: "WolfCop" is an amazingly irreverent, over the top horror comedy "Wildling" is an interesting movie that's is more about character development than traditional werewolf conventions "Viking Wolf (Vikingulven)" was a decent one, though I think there were one or two things they could have done differently in both writing and direction to tidy things up a bit. "Wilderness" is an old British TV movie that is also great for character development, particularly of the main protagonist. Bonus mention for "Bad Blood: The Movie", which does a great play on traditional werewolf tropes, but the creature itself is a were-frog monster.

2025-06-26 22:39:38 +0000 UTCI enjoyed the Bonehill Road transformation, way to hyped up though. Cant wait for Wolf Moon Rising. Got the same actress turning into a werewolf 🐺
