Which Werewolf Design?
Added 2024-07-14 12:20:16 +0000 UTCWe've all seen a whole bunch of werewolf designs over the years, and we've picked out 9 memorable ones.
Which do you think is best?

2024-07-16 11:19:58 +0000 UTCI prefer more relatively humanoid ones that have the human(ish) face so I’ll go with 2010 Wolfman

2024-07-15 10:57:18 +0000 UTCAlways love the AWIL version of a Werewolf. The only gripe I have with it, is that it look to "dog-like". There was an old TV show in the 80's called "Werewolf". It had almost the elements of "The Incredible Hulk" series only with a Werewolf instead. Unfortunately the show only lasted one season. But for its time, it was a really interesting idea.

2024-07-14 17:48:19 +0000 UTCSWOL is one of my favorite genre shows ever, at least the British episodes. Kind of a proto-Buffy vibe and also Kate Hodge really emoted during transformations. But I have to admit, I thought the final werewolf form was a bit lacking.

2024-07-14 14:53:45 +0000 UTCI can’t speak for others, but to me, it’s not about nostalgia. I like my werewolves bipedal, tall, and with long ears and long, spindly fingers. Also, practical suits and animatronics will always beat CGI.

2024-07-14 14:02:03 +0000 UTCI guess it's a matter of preference and what you expect a werewolf to look like. I like my werewolves to look strong and powerful. I don't like them looking like some skinny person wearing a ton of fur to hide most of their anatomical features. I also think a ton of people point to the designs of the older movies by nostalgia more than anything.

2024-07-14 13:12:26 +0000 UTCGiven my username, the choice was obvious. Second place was Being Human (UK), even though I’ve never seen that design before.

2024-07-14 12:54:00 +0000 UTCI'm surprised Van Helsing has such a lead. To me it looks like a wolf's head on a hairy superhero's body. I prefer the Howling for the bipeds. A bit more supernatural and monsterous in my eye.

2024-07-14 12:50:57 +0000 UTCThe Van Helsing one might be CGI and such, but it's the coolest one to me from a design perspective. Good looking wolf head, powerful muscular humanoid body, doesn't look derpy overall (or look diseased, or like some low-budget make-up). I guess the same goes with the Bad Moon design, but I can't vote for both at the same time.

2024-07-14 12:25:00 +0000 UTCAAWIL. Something nearer to the "Monstruous wolf" image but without being too "wolfy". And a better goal when developing a good body-horror scenario during the transformation... the more different from a former human the better.
