After he explained his circumstances, to summarize everything he told us based on his prior explanation.

“So basically, you got teleported from a different world, a fantasy like the ones you know from a light novel, become a simp, and got into politics; now you need help?”

“That's an oversimplification of what happened, but it's not incorrect but to summarize that into that is quite rude!” Subaru gave me a deadpan look on his face, but the point was that nothing was incorrect in what I said.

Serie didn't pay any need to our conversation but instead was intrigued by one thing and asked. “Tell me about these ‘gates’ because it's a form of magic system that I'm very interested in learning about.”

Her interest lies in that world’s magic and not in Subaru’s situation, as she barely takes an interest in it; however, she isn't that heartless. At the very least, she's willing to help him.

Mostly because of personal interest.

Subaru didn't know how to answer that and replied, “I don't know much about gate either; as you know, I only stayed in that world for a little more than a few months at most; I'm no expert on that subject.”

Serie wasn't surprised, but she couldn't help but be disappointed a bit by his answer; if it was her, she would have already been at least knowledgeable about that subject. But then again, not many are as crazy as her toward magic.

“Very well, I suppose I would have to go to that world to know more.” Although her face might be stoic and barely a facial expression, there's a hint of excitement in her eyes if one were to look closer.

Subaru, who heard that from Serie, couldn't help but become excited and said. “So you're going to help me?!”

Serie bluntly replied. “I'm more interested in learning the magic of that world than helping you, but since you're doing me a favor by gaining a chance to learn an entirely different magic system, consider this as me repaying in kind.”

Subaru excitement died a bit after hearing that, but regardless, he was still happy with the fact that he would receive help from a powerful(?) elf.

“R-right, then please come along with me!”

“Very well.” With a smug smirk, she followed Subaru through the door and went to another world.

Meanwhile, I was hesitating whether I should follow or not. After a moment of hesitation, my curiosity won over me; despite the clear risk that I was about to face, I still went and followed.

Meanwhile, as I went to the world where Subaru got isekai’d, someone followed alongside me.

Through her spirit form, she followed her master to another world.

As soon as I arrived in another world, I was greeted by a fantastic sight which immediately gave me a sense that I'd traveled to the medieval period.

But knowing that it's more than that is more amazing; after all, this world was a literal representation of a generic fantasy world.

The building we came from was just near the plaza, making us see a crowd of people, mostly humans, but there's a minority of different species, and they're fascinating to look at.

It wasn't just me who was fascinated by this; even Serie, who was mostly indifferent, was looking forward to exploring this world.

“This is indeed another world..the mana is quite different from where I came from..” Serie said while looking somewhere beyond the eyes could see.

“I see…so that's the source of this world’s mana…how fascinating.”

“?” I have no idea what she's talking about, but since she's a powerful mage in her world as she claimed, then she must know what she's doing.

Then suddenly Serie shifted her gaze behind me and said, “Although, I'm curious as to why you followed us here.”

As I was about to ask what she was talking about, suddenly a figure appeared right beside me, making me feel surprised as I knew who this person was or their spirit.

“Forgive me, milady I simply couldn't contain my curiosity about this…another world business..” Even though she was still hiding her face in that hood, I could tell the shock radiating from her body.

Not that I particularly find this reaction surprising; after all, who wouldn't be shocked to find out that you're standing in a different world?

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm already aware of my system capability I would most likely be in the same boat.

Serie seemed to understand and gave a very smug smirk, which I'm aware of as her signature smile.

It may look arrogant of her, but she earned that right based on what I know of her; she's just a step closer to being a divine being.

Her arrogance is completely justified as she could completely back it up, she's very aware of her worth.

The fact that she's like this and wasn't someone with a god complex is a testament to her control and character.

I mean, she could be worse if I were in the same situation as her; frankly, I'm not sure if I would be able to do the same.

“I see; understandably, you're a mage after all; curiosity is a defining trait of our kind.” After that, she didn't bother to ask any more questions as she was already satisfied with Medea’s answer.

However, this wasn't the case for Subaru and I.

“Woah! Who the heck is she?”

Subaru's surprise was within my expectations; after all, this was the first time he had met my servant.

To which I answered. “She's my servant.”

As soon as he heard my answer, he began to look at me with a weird stare. “Dude…I didn't know you were in BDSM…to think you have a hardcore fetish like this!”

Upon realizing what he just implied, I became embarrassed at his accusation. “The f*ck are you talking about! I don't have a BDSM fetish!”

“Then why did you call her your servant then? Look, I don't judge…”

“You are! Stop looking at me like I'm degenerate! Look, this is what a servant means..”

Then I proceeded to tell him the things that I'd heard from Caster, and after that, Subaru replied.

“Oh, so you're telling me that this woman is a spirit and a hero of the past?”

“Yep.”

Then Subaru started checking Caster's appearance with interest which was a bit surprising. To be honest I thought he'd complain about how lucky I am to have a servant or something.

But his reaction was quite unexpected; this world changed him more than I thought; from what I knew, he had only arrived here a few months ago.

And knowing his side of the story, his life was particularly bad. You could even say that the life he's living is luxurious compared to the majority of the people in this world.

Either way, it isn't something that I could solve just by thinking alone, but something happened to him while he was in this world.

Medea finally couldn't stand his staring and coldly spoke. “Are you done gawking at my appearance, boy?”

Subaru quickly stopped upon sensing the danger and gave an awkward laugh. “Aha-ha, my bad. I was just curious about you since it's not every day you meet a spirit.”

Medea didn't say anything to him, clearly wasn't amused by his words, and then glared in my direction. “And you! How could you just tell him about the holy grail war? It's supposed to be a secret for a reason!”

“Don't worry about it. I trust him enough to tell him that, and it's not like I would mention it to random people,” I said.

Medea frowned at my reply, she wasn't happy with it, and eventually, she went to her spirit form because she didn't want to deal with us.

“...is it fine for me to know?” Subaru hesitantly asked.

I rolled my eyes and said, “Yeah, don't worry about it. She's just making a big deal out of it.”

“Right…by the way where's the elf?”

I blinked a couple of times before realizing that Serie was gone. “Wait, where is she?!”

It took an hour to find the ancient elf; thankfully, it only took that much time. If I didn't know that she likes books we would probably be looking for her all day long.

We found her at a bookshop nearby, where she almost got chased out by the owner of the bookstore.

Turns out, in this world, the elves have a bad reputation thanks to the incident that happened 400 years ago, when the Witch Of Envy, who is a half-elf, destroyed half of the world.

This is very stupid, in my opinion; while it's the fault of whoever that Witch Of Envy is, there's no need for the entire world to hate an entire race because of a single individual.

But unfortunately, people don't understand that and it probably doesn't help the fact that the government propagates the hate of the elven race.

Either way, if it wasn't for our timely intervention, the bookstore would probably be no more if we were a second late to stop Serie.

After promising books to Serie, only then we were able to get her cooperation.

Then we arrived at the lavished mansion of the person who Subaru worked for.

After a bit of a hassle, thankfully, we were able to get in despite Serie's status as an elf, mainly because of Subaru’s special position in this place.

Not long after, we were able to meet the person who Subaru worked with and someone he wanted to save according to him.

To be honest, she's someone I wasn't expecting to be because I was certain that my friend has a certain type, and it's not a tomboy wearing a military uniform.

“Crusch-tan! I got some help!”

Upon seeing him, the woman's stern expression somewhat loosened, and she smiled a bit; while I may not know her and just met this person.

From the looks of it, she's the aloof and serious kind of person, as someone from her status should be.

But, I'm wrong, or this is the effect of my friend toward her.

“Subaru…I'm glad that you're back, but who are these people…? Especially the elf.” The green-haired tomboy stared at Serie with a rather judging expression.

“They’re here to help!”

“Help for what exactly..?”

The two continued their ‘conversation,’ which honestly looked like a lover spat from my perspective.

Honestly, here I thought that Subaru would pursue someone with silver hair and an innocent personality rather than this.

It's been quite some time since I've updated this story; either way, I'm only going to update this story once or twice a week, while I'm going to spend the rest of my attention on another fanfic.

I'm going to update The Shop after a few hours, which is today.
