Hooked, but waiting more to have a true opinion, but seem very promising and want more

2026-02-16 21:28:23 +0000 UTCYeah, the first love interest in a girl anime? That not going for the cute boy appearance? One that got (good) information about the future? These guys and girls are screwed.

2026-02-16 18:37:54 +0000 UTCIf she is going to Asia she will likely be joining the harem of the “real” protagonist while our MC frets with imposter syndrome. While he builds his Doomsday Faction and acts as a protagonist while always feeling the pressure of the Apocalypse coming closer and all current systems are either too “weak” or too “incompetent” to survive whatever is coming. Meanwhile the people around him treat him like the typical Battle Academy Protagonist.

2026-02-15 17:03:45 +0000 UTCI can see where Macha is coming from but at the same time I think the contrast between how the mc sees the world and how they see him is interesting. That alongside the dynamics of his friendship with the regressor and I think this can be a very promising story.

2026-02-15 15:46:53 +0000 UTCI don't think he's bluffing at all. He might not be as ridiculously strong as they're assuming now, but my thoughts are that what he 'loses' in raw strength compared to their impression on him (aka can take on the Origin in a year and lays out the challenge then and there) is made up for by the more refined methods he's got access to from what I'd expect is a partial merging of the three 'Schools of Thought' we see represented here, some contributions of independents and a whole lot of bloody learning, innovating and refining over the next century of extinction war. Not enough to immediately take on the Origin or people of similar strength of course, that's why he needs a year to improve that strength and more importantly gain more skill with what he knows. Even if I'm expecting part of that will be what's basically an 'assassination guidebook' on how to exploit weaknesses in the major 'known' powers of the current Powers. At the very least, what weaknesses are shown by those who used their techniques over the century and what abilities were used by whatever killed them in the 'immediate panic and consolidation' phase after the upcoming Monster Tide (or whatever it ends up being called).

2026-02-15 13:38:36 +0000 UTCLooks like a decent premise, but there wasn't enough build up at the start, so I was a bit confused. I do like the idea but it would probably need to have a proper Prologue to get things on track.

2026-02-15 10:36:57 +0000 UTCSome word building will be appreciated. Yue just vanished from the start making her unimportant. She is not MC, but her role should to be? Maybe it will be better to write everything from another perspective, not her friend but even further, from perspective of ordinary locals who tried to figure what the hell is going on, who this new super strong people are and why they grinding like psychos.

2026-02-15 08:06:03 +0000 UTCI liked it though I agree it needs some expanding cause while it works well enough for a one shot for a full series I would like a full 'volume' to see the Returner and MC interact more even if I understand a rush for the Academy.

2026-02-15 07:25:04 +0000 UTCI like the concept but I think it definitely needed some more time to cook and build up. Maybe more interaction with Yue before she left? Like maybe showing why Yue's influence on the MC (I'm assuming this) is why he decided to basically conquer the academy against all the existing power blocs? Also seeing a bit of the struggles the MC goes through and then meeting his protégé would make things feel a lot less abrupt.

2026-02-15 06:16:24 +0000 UTCHmm, I dunno how I feel about this one. The Returner herself exits the story in the first chapter. I know this oneshot is more proof of concept than actual substance but I feel like we should see more of Yue before getting into face slapping "Sugoi Senpai" territory. I think just from this chapter alone, the stories premise seems weak.
