Somehow I’m the Otome Game Villain 2

Somehow I’m the Otome Game Villain 2

“I am meant to destroy the New Humans.”

“Yeah, yeah, I get it. Now keep fixing up the island, anyway.”

I’d bothered my father for permission to explore the Holfort Kingdom for a few weeks before my first term. He agreed, but only with additional guards, especially since he wanted Ideal watched. Since I was all for having extra protection around myself, I agreed with a smile and went off to establish myself as an Adventurer in Holfort

It was ludicrously easy with a super-advanced AI from a sci-fi version of humanity at my beck and call.

I signed up as some nobody, had my subordinates’ clear dungeons while armed with Ideal’s produced weaponry, and worked my way up to my current standing: discoverer of my own Sky Island.

Which, of course, I was making Ideal turn into a base for us to send out scouts to find the Luxion.

Why have one cheat item when you can have two?

It’s an aristocratic way of thinking, but I thought that it was reasonable to want all the ancient weapons of mass destruction under my personal control.

Additionally, if they go out of control, I’ll be in the zone where death is painless.

No drawbacks, as far as I’m concerned!

The island we found was fairly close to the border, to the point where it can be moved over to the Republic if needed, and so it made it a perfect staging point. The fact that it was close to the Republic also ensured that the discovery of my identity as an Adventurer would be respected, despite being technically an aristocrat from another country.

It helped that the Holfort Kingdom had strong rights for Adventurers due to their origin, and the fact that the Holfort Kingdom needed our energy resources, so they couldn’t just yank away everything I earned.

But me getting away with a political mess was beside the point, despite it technically being a generational achievement hat inscribed my name into the history books, it was all a stepping stone for getting the Luxion.

“Mhmm, everything looks pretty good so far.” I walked around the underground docks and looked over the fighter-like ships that would operate with partitions of Ideal to search the Kingdom. The small craft were like ships for the AI Core, which was plenty capable itself, but didn’t enough have speed or chassis space for anything specialized. Since it would take time to make bigger things, and I didn’t want to waste any time, I had him cut back. “Oh, those are weapons. Go ahead and take them out and replace them with sensors.”

“Guh-d-damn you!”

Ideal seethed as his drones working on the small vehicles proceeded to take out the weapons systems. I paid attention to the information the base provided. It took a lot of work and effort, but I managed to parse some of the information of Old Humanity thanks to being able to read Japanese. To put it simply, Old Humans only lost against living WMDs ten meters tall because the operators of said WMDs crippled themselves and their descendants by saturating the entire atmosphere with Mana.

The New Humans descendants were continuously surrounded with Mana to the point their body’s ability to produce its own was limited, which weakened them over the following millennia.

That’s right, Old Humanity was so advanced that the only way that they could be forced to give up on Earth to conquer the rest of the universe was the sacrifice of countless, following generations.

So, yeah, I worked hard to be able to understand their technology, so Ideal wouldn’t get away with anything like putting weapons on his craft when he had a literal death laser, shield projector, and other ludicrous gadgets in his tiny, sphere core already.

“Well, with all of this, we should be able to find Old Humanity’s bases, even with Sky Island drift in play.” I ignored Ideal’s weeping as he watched his particle cannons get ripped out of his fighter-craft. I bet he’d been planning on conducting some exercises with the weapon that would’ve incited a lot of battles, which would’ve killed off a lot of people. That sucks, dude. “Oi, how long do you think until you find the other base?”

Ideal glowered at me pretty well for a metal sphere with a large lens, but I also knew for a fact that with my heritage and knowledge that I had defacto control over him.

“…A month at most. If you allowed me to launch a satellite, I would be able to do it moments after launch.”

“Denied, I know you want to put a death laser into the air.”

“The New Humanity would be fortunate if I chose such a lethal weapon! I would shatter their isles with kinetic strikes to watch them scurry around like ants until they all perish!”

“Kinetic strikes, then. So, your request is denied. Also, those weapons are banned until I say so. Which will probably be never.”

Ideal froze as he realized that I tricked him into revealing another portion of his perfect doomsday plan and banned it again.

He didn’t scream this time, but instead just turned to me.

“Fuck you.”

“I love you too, Ideal.”

Yep, I’m getting the hang of dealing with this genocidal AI.

Holfort Academy was more horrible than I expected.

“Wow, they’re really just out there being sluts.” Maybe it was my upbringing in the Alzer Republic coming to light, but I was looking less favorably on the setting of the Otome game than usual. “I thought I was ready, but I’m actually feeling my stomach turn over.”

“I hope that you get an ulcer, but I agree. The depravity of this place is disgusting.” Ideal even grudgingly agreed with me, while we both looked at the Academy from my personal villa. I wasn’t housed in the Academy, but instead given a place near the embassy. It was a topnotch place with excellent guards and service, so I easily adapted to it, and made my room a command center of sorts. Ideal and I looked over at the Academy through numerous holographic screens from the invisible drones we had hover high above the place. “Permission to apply nerve gas to the entire structure and wipe out the next generation?”

“Denied.” I rejected Ideal as easily as I breathed. “Hm, zoom in… there.”

“Fine, but how about sterilization via airborne retrovirus?”

“Denied.” I looked at the magnified image and found myself looking at the Villainess of the first part of the game. Angelica Rapha Redgrave looked… incredible. I was honestly surprised, since there were plenty of 2D-like, perfect women in my new life. Both my new sister and mother would be considered models with impossible figures in my past life, as would most of my classmates back home. Everyone with a decent diet and basic hygiene in this reality was practically attractive, but Angelica took the cake. “…how the hell did the Protagonist beat this lady fairly?”

By all accounts, with just one glance and my education on the matter helping me out, I saw her as an aristocrat of good standing. She had a retinue at her back that was happy to please her, instead of looking dejected. In just her mere passing, people stared at her, but most waved and properly greeted her while she approached. There was a certain air of superiority to her that was attractive too, as she scared away an approaching, uppity upperclassman with just a glare.

And, if the Prince chose Olivia, her life was going to be completely ruined because she had a temper and didn’t back down when her fiancé was being stolen away.

“Hm.”

“The look on your face is disgusting. You’re thinking about taking that woman for yourself.”

“She’s a great lady, meets all the criteria for my family to approve, and is pretty to boot… so, if the Prince is going to be taken by the protagonist, I don’t see why I shouldn’t.” If my memories served me correctly, she’d be exiled to the frontier and forced to marry some ugly schmuck of some dilapidated barony called Bart-something. “I’ll leave her alone, if the protagonist doesn’t choose her route, naturally.”

“You say that, but you’ve been staring at her breasts this entire time.”

“I’ve got the body of a teenage boy and I haven’t seen a woman in weeks.” I gripped, but didn’t deny Ideal’s words. It took a lot of effort to look away from Angelica, but I managed. “Anyway, the first week of class for me starts tomorrow. Did you find the protagonist yet?”

“I have identified the woman you called Olivia. She on the campus… currently being ostracized, as if she even lesser than these lesser creatures.” Ideal brought up a feed from another Drone and I found myself looking at the protagonist. She looked lost, her tour group having ditched her, and she was fumbling with a map torn in half and her luggage. She looked like she was about to cry. Yep, looks like a protagonist with zero stats. “I find it hard to believe that this pathetic creature is a massive cognitive-hazard that we need to avoid.”

“You say that, but I’ve told you all her skills, and the impossible things that she can make happen.” Olivia might look like a scared damsel, but I was sure that beneath that veneer was a scheming woman with a heart like a chunk of coal. She broke up marriages of influential people, put the entire Kingdom into disarray, and ruined lives all for the sake of her romance. Hell, she even had the ability to seduce five guys to be hers. I was sure that she could do that all because she’d been using her Saintess powers the entire time. The whole game made a lot more sense, if her “Compelling Voice” skill was used outside of combat. “We need to stay out of her way, but make sure that she gets one of the capture targets. If you don’t believe me, remember that she can canonically pilot a ship like you just after stumbling onto it.”

Ideal glowered at me for a second, before gazing at Olivia.

“…It is difficult to believe, but the New Humans have always been underhanded and cruel creatures. Being able to change the perceptions of others and charm people were how they gathered so much political power before the war, so I can see that bloodline continuing to this day.” Ideal didn’t say he agreed with me, but admitted that I had a point circumstantially. It was a victory, so I didn’t press the issue. “I will keep an eye on her with your suggested distance in mind. How will you be protecting yourself?”

I gave Ideal a grin at that and pushed my hands together at Ideal in a pleading motion.

“Can you fabricate something that’ll keep me from being magically please? Pretty please? You don’t want your master controlled by a wicked witch, right?”

“Moron.” Ideal’s response to my plea was decisive, but soon enough he hovered away towards one of the workshops manned by his other partitions in work bodies. “I will have one manufactured. You will always wear it. I abhor you, but losing you to such despicable tactics is unacceptable.”

My response was as equally decisive.

“Thanks, Ideal! Love ya!”

“Disgusting. Die.”

The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the breeze was cool.

The makings of a good day were present, but the local environment ruined all the work the rest of the planet did.

“Damn, it’s sluts or entitled bastards all the way down.” I observed candidly out of earshot with my surrounding guards. The four guards went stiff at my words, but I saw one of them crack a smile. I ignored them, since that made their lives easier, while I walked into the Academy’s main hall without a care in the world. “Are you guys seeing this shit?”

Naturally, none of my guards responded verbally, but there was the slightest chin-nod from one of them in the corner of my vision to validate my opinion.

“Thanks for agreeing. Seeing so many people here not bat an eye made me think I was crazy.”

I moved through the main path into the facility and saw a lot of garbage usually hidden behind some generic cutaway background.

“Hurry up, old man! I’ll have you fired if you make me late for class!”

“M-my apologies, young master.”

The spoiled young men were tended to by male servants, usually nearing the end of their prime, and they treated them poorly.

Meanwhile, the young ladies were worse.

“My slaves are for my pleasure! Not for carrying my luggage! Either carry it all yourself, or call upon your fellow menials!”

“Y-yes, young mistress!”

“If this how the nobility treats their people, it’s no wonder they have so much trouble on their frontier.” I made sure to mutter the words, because I was sure that it would’ve caused political backlash if heard. Still, though, I had to say it. This place was nothing like my family’s territory back home. “Hey, is our Academy anything like this?”

I addressed one of the guards directly, since they attended the regular classes of there, and one immediately replied.

“There are some miscreants, but they are kept in line by the staff, sir.” The captain spoke for his men, but they each gave a nod verifying the man’s words. “No, sir.”

“I thought so… well, it can’t be helped. Bear with the place for a bit, because we sure as hell can’t have them getting an Ancient Facility like the one I’ve found.”

I meant for that statement to be an idle statement, but all my guards suddenly grew incredibly alert and started glaring down anyone who looked our way.

“As you say, sir! Give us the order and we’ll follow it to the letter for the Household!”

“A-ah, yeah. Thanks.”

I blushed a little at the hard-wired response, but in the end it was comforting to hear.

After seeing Holfort firsthand, not through a screen, and seeing their society… I became more confident in my decision to get over here and find the Luxion.

This place was a shitshow and letting them get their hands on such a powerful weapon would be stupid at best and, at the very worst, cause full-blown war as their idiots tried to press their advantage against the rest of the world.

Can't wait till he also seduces the queen in this reality

I feel a little bad for Olivia, but I can see why he'd come to that conclusion. The whole protagonist being possessed and the capture targets being utter morons isn't an explanation you'd normally think of. I hope he at least reconsiders and gives her a hand after seeing Marie in action.

Look's great :) I believe I could quit literally feel your excitement for this scenario not that I blame you in slightest since I'm pretty hyped for it myself. Also I was highly amused by both Leon and Ideal's interaction as well as Leon rather shamelessly drooling over Angie. Although to be fair, Angie is incredibly hot (no pun intended) and has a REALLLY nice figure :)
