I’ll be honest.
I considered becoming a teacher at Issei’s school for a laugh, but I decided against it after realizing that he had it under control.
“Huh, the kid’s actually being a decent guardian for his new charges.” I offered Azazel some popcorn and he gratefully took some. His eyes popped out a little bit when he ate it, until I gestured over to my Food Fabricator in the corner. “And you said it was worthless.”
“I said it was a waste of resources, even if you were building it in your spare time… but yeah, I guess it’s pretty good.” He grunted and went over to get his own bowl, while I watched Issei guide the former Hero Faction members through the school. “So, has anything abnormal happened, yet?”
I munched on my snack for a moment, before shrugging.
“Strange winds from nowhere blew up both their skirts twice. They tripped and fell so that he both felt up their boobs or had them mashed against his face.” I counted off the moments. Hyoudou Issei in this world had a bunch of lucky pervert moments going on around him. It didn’t happen around me, but it happened often around a lot of girls his age. Or single. Huh, I guess I am taken, huh? “I think, if we watch for another week, he’ll end up stuck in the locker with one or both of them while they’re nude.”
Azazel took a seat next to me.
To the left of our open-air breakroom was our latest project, but we were on break so we didn’t pay it any attention, and just munched on snacks while watching Issei’s new life.
“I think that’ll happen in the house, so we won’t be seeing it.” Azazel gave his two cents on the matter and I grudgingly nodded. I’d given them privacy within their refurnished and upgraded domicile. The former Hero Faction members were being tracked, but I wasn’t going to be inhumane about it. “He really is a real life harem protagonist… think he’ll last a season, though?”
“Before I met him and put some manners in his head, it’ll probably take three seasons and a movie before he gets any, but you can see for yourself.” I pointed at Le Fay. Hyoudou was helping her with her meal, since she broke her arm with the fight. No staring at her boobs or anything while he did. That was enough to make the girl blush. “There’s a good kid in there, beneath all the perversion, and I brought it kicking and screaming into the front.”
“Ah, so it’s like gap moe, but between kindness and perverseness.”
“Correct. It’s gap lust… and I think it’s more effective against women. There are few things better than a cool guy who gets embarrassed. It’s a nice gentleman who’s actually really, really into you, but is holding back to take care of you first.”
“I’d ask if you’re speaking from experience, but I’d rather not know.”
“Congrats, you’re learning.”
Azazel grunted and ate some more popcorn, before frowning and pointing over at another viewpoint on the screen.
“Looks like the Gremory heiress isn’t pleased with the situation… why is everything below her face censored in mosaic?”
“She’s too seductive, even when she’s not doing anything, so I covered her up in mosaic.” Azazel raised an eyebrow at my explanation, until I answered him honestly. “I’m not stealing Hyoudou’s love interests, even if they’re stupidly hot, so I’m blocking myself.”
I thought Azazel would make fun of me, but instead my son looked at me with the most respect that he’d ever had for me.
“For the first time, I’m actually proud of you, Father.”
To that, I had only one response.
“Shut up and enjoy the show, Azazel.”
“Don’t mind if I do, heh!”
If you told me I’d ever sit down and relax next to Azazel, while watching a student of mine inadvertently form a harem around himself, I wouldn’t have believed you in my previous life.
Thankfully, in my new life, I took it in stride.
The wonders of being raised right, I suppose.
…
After defeating the Hero Faction and handling their former members, I searched through their things and interrogated them for information on Ouroboros.
Surprisingly, I found nothing.
Then, again, the Hero Faction was far larger in my previous life. They had whole pocket dimensions where they lived in luxury and had breeding populations of Beast Tribes to hunt down in personal safaris. Not only that, but they were the primary instigators of a plan to create World War 3, and releasing an incredible amount of technology and magic once it got into motion.
Their purpose back home was to destroy societies that weren’t human and forcibly lift up humanity through conflict and release of secrets.
And, in this world, they were a band of kids that got together to hunt down people who they thought were monsters.
I mean, stopping them undoubtedly saved lives, since they were going out of their way to kill and raze villages of nonhumans.
However, it wasn’t as big of a victory as I wanted nor a battle as hard as I thought.
Now, the question was if the case was the same for Ouroboros.
Was Lucifer’s descendants being guided by Lilith still? Were they planning to bring back Lucifer? Did they still have Ophis at their disposal… and how far along were they in their plans? Not only that, but since the gods here weren’t dead, Concepts weren’t going to be in play.
As much of a bastard Miyakuro was, I would have to be a moron to not want him around to answer my questions.
In the end, though, all my worries and concerns had a simple answer.
If I didn’t know, then I needed to get strong enough to defeat the unknown when I confronted it.
Some would say that the plan was foolhardy, and I’d agree with them.
But, as I searched the world and looked for my foes and answers to my questions, it was all that I could do.
Thankfully, creating weapons and equipment for just about every possible situation as right up my alley.
