Checkup Blues: Update #3 – Content & Time goals

Hello everyone!

It's finally time to update you on Checkup Blues! To recap quickly, the last few months have seen a lot of changes in terms of free time and how I use it when working with 3DX. As you may recall, I recently ended the monthly mini sets to make more room for focusing on my own ideas. This combined with the fact that I'm working differently now in real life means that while my total hours with Daz per week are fewer, a much greater percentage of those are spent exclusively on Checkup Blues, resulting in faster progression.

The animation has now passed the 2 minute mark! It's not a lot since last time, when I reached the 1,5min checkpoint, but the thing here is that the grand majority of that progress was made in the last few weeks thanks to the increased focus on animation, while before that the project was standing almost completely still. I now manage to build greater momentum and keep that for longer periods at a time before having a break. Pausing regular commissions has added to this as well.

Anyway, let's take a closer look at this project again! Today, I want to tell you a little about what can be expected in terms of content and future progress.

Content

So what are you even waiting for here? I've been talking a lot about how this is a behemoth of a project for me, but I often have myself remember that this is all a whole lot bigger to me right now than it will be to you once this finally releases. You'll basically be looking at a 4 minute animation(and time passes really fast when watching those!) as a result of nearly a year of waiting – for those of you who've been around that long.

I once said that this project would be "Locker room Lust all over again", and that statement still stands. My style is all about teasing and tension, skipping the happy hardcore outcomes. Hardcore content is mostly found in commissions and other community suggested stuff, and that's because I enjoy teasing more. This will be evident in Checkup Blues as well, so to clear any doubt, there will be no penetration or other proper sexual incercourse in Checkup Blues. I will be some other hot stuff such as groping, but while looking very hot, it won't amount to anything big(well maybe, only in terms of anatomy). Scandalously, Linda's breasts will be ignored more or less completely in terms of interavtion due to technical limits, so they'll act as eye candy for the time being. I need to get a little better before I can play with them properly. The short will be all about building tension and putting Linda on the spot due to her modest nature.

I'm keeping the preview gifs mostly focused on these kinds of shots since I want to save the good stuff for release. The good shots are few and far between, so you'll want to savor those!

All focus will be on Linda's nether region and how she deals with the checkup. You may have figured it out already from the previews, but Linda will be completely nude right from the get-go, so even though she won't "get" much, there will be plenty of time to feast your eyes on that rarely nude body!

Time goals

So, any ETA? No, but yes, but actually no. I hate setting deadlines and promising stuff, but I can tell what time goals I've set now that I've been able to see how the new working conditions affect the project. I've set a target progression for animation to about 30 seconds a month.  That means that I'm hoping to be able to create 30 seconds of raw animation in that time – not fully rendered high quality or with sounds or anything, just raw animation ready to be rendered at full quality. I guess combining that target with the fact that I'm aiming for just under 4 minutes total can give you an estimated time of release, but you know, there's more to be done after animating and nothing is set in stone, so don't make reservations just yet. I just thought it would help you get more of an overview of my progress. I started the early stages of this project in November of last year, and I really want it to have taken less than a year to complete, but I won't beat myself up too much over missing that mark. Even so, I will be pushing for a release before the end of the year, and it will feel glorious once I get it out there!

That's really all for now, no technical in-depth look at the project this time, but maybe I can make up for that next time. Let me know if there's anything you want to have a closer look at for the next update!

Stay safe everyone!
