Dropbox Update + a request for feedback!

Hmm, I could probably do that. Dropbox does provide a way of sorting by date, at least on my end, but the issue of finding the right folders still remains... I could try doing a "new" folder when I transition to Mega. I'm currently playing around with Mega, and it does provide a tidier overview of the folders, as well as letting me sort stuff by date. I'll keep your input in mind, thanks!

My biggest issue with the current setup is that I'm never quite sure where the new stuff is going. Maybe there should be a "new" folder with each update, which contains the new images. The images in the "new" folder from the previous update would be moved to their appropriate folders. Of course, maybe Dropbox already has a "sort by date" thing that I don't know about

That is some amazing insight, thank you so much...! That settles it then. From what I see, Mega clearly seems to be a potentially better alternative to dropbox for artists, so I'll at the very least test it out a little. If all goes well, we can hopefully make a smooth transistion from Dropbox to Mega. I'll make a post on this in the future to inform everyone – I'm excited to see the result!

I've been thinking about this for a while, so I'll pop in with a professional suggestion since this somewhat relates to my day job. DropBox is awesome if you intend to collaborate with a small team or are utilizing it as your personal extended cloud directory service. It is not intended to back up your machines hard disk or distribute mass amounts of data to clients (although I know plenty of great Chinese PCB makers that would argue this since they utilize both DropBox and Google Drive to distribute user manuals). Mega is awesome since it gives a free account of 50GB and has a desktop client that allows the end-user to distribute data to clients through a decently secure network. Mega is also an open-source product to a degree if anyone is inclined to see what it looks like, the link to all of their products code can be found here -> https://mega.nz/sourcecode. Another cool feature that some cloud services offer (I know both Mega and OneDrive do this) is shared links and shared keys. This feature is a little more pronounced with Mega in terms of what you are trying to accomplish here. For instance, if a user has the mega client, they can link the folder you share with them to their service. So that way, it will always stay in sync. The keys come into place so that you could create a link on the home page, but until the key is distributed to the end-user, they cannot see the contents of the folder. This also allows you to control the content access levels so that you could, for instance, make it read-only so that nobody could siphon the contents of the drive or manage access if some are abusing the service. I will state I DO NOT WORK FOR MEGA OR ANY OTHER CLOUD SERVICE. These opinions are purely my own. I do hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or comment on this post.

Yeah, the folder structure is a personal taste of mine, but I want to adjust it more to you guys since I'm not the one browsing them. Mega is definitely something I'm looking at. I've noticed many artists using it. I could set up a testing archive and see how it works compared to dropbox. I do know I can sort content in dropbox by date, but I don't think that it applies said sorting to everyone who enters. Look closer, hopefully you're just missing it. I had been thinking about this after Claire had her sucker scene with her friend. Where did she go? Also, who's the new girl here? If I missed her name sorry for making it a thing.

well i don’t know if the dropbox needs improvements, but after looking around, i see 3 characters that i believe would be great to add to the roster: Aoi, Monique, and Gry. that way theres a little more ethnicity, and another girl whos the same size as Claire

Even having a folder with all your works is a great thing that I wish more artists provided. As for something to make it easier I would maybe request fewer folders since it does feel imo cluttered ,also a better archiving system to show newest content (don't know if that's dropbox or if I'm doing something wrong, but works are spread around at random regardless of date added). If you have some doubts about dropbox then I know that several creators use Mega as their go-to for storing their works and also I myself like Mega better than dropbox. And also the amount of folders/subfolders would, I think, feel less cluttered with Megas interface.
