Saturday Update
Added 2025-07-19 16:34:07 +0000 UTCSo, Val and I have been working on getting VoC ready for public release and its launch (cutting sections, reworking, and debating parts I’ve written).
I think we’ve got the core of it mostly ironed out. I needed a stronger hook and opening. I could trim parts to allow a smoother starting experience.
I’ve also taken some time to just reflect, which I haven’t done for a while. It helped me consider the various aspects of my other series and a break to think more about my own style/prose in each. There are certainly things I can still improve on (we always need to try to improve ourselves).
All in all, it’s been a slower week, which has been a blessing, and helped me refocus. I still have things to tackle this next week to get the ball moving with the other goals, but I’m thankful for the time this semi-break/vacation has given me.
