Fur-BE

It's the time of year again that is synonymous with gift giving - and what better gift to give, than one that keeps on giving? I think that makes sense...

It seems that every year there has to be a new 'must have' gimmick or gadget that everybody (apparently) wants; from air-fryers to Tamagotchis, an unstoppable flood of these items hits the market, along with plenty of advertising to go with it, of course!

This year it is the turn of the Fur-BE, an odd-looking but supposedly adorable digital pet with an odd and, for many, unexpected quirk, it would appear. You see, one of the big selling points of this animatronic companion is that you can tell it your secrets and wishes, and it will keep them safe, like a best buddy should. However, in initially rare but increasing cases, as the Fur-BE swamps the market, it turns out some of these little critters have just a little more 'personality' than others - not only are they keeping those secrets and wishes, but they are trying to fulfil them as well.

Part of the issue is believed to have come from the fact that, like all good gimmicks and gadgets, as soon as they become popular, an endless supply of poorly-made clones inundate the market, and in many cases it can be hard to tell which products are genuine. Nobody is quite sure whether it is deliberate or just a 'happy accident', but whichever shady backstreet manufacturer made this batch of knock-off Fur-BEs, it seems the quirks in its 'intelligent A.I' abilities have taken on a life of their own.

As sensational reports start to crop up across the globe of unusual interactions with some of these counterfeit creatures, news channels warn not to give them as gifts and to check that they are genuine. This in turn creates a fever for those seeking out these special Fur-BEs, hoping to snap one up before they get identified and sent to landfill.

Ava is a good friend of course, and despite the mass product recalls, knew how much Hannah really wanted a Fur-BE this year. So, paying well over the odds for one, she finally snagged what she believed to be a genuine model, and wrapped it up ready to gift. Ava had seen the news stories in her social media feeds, of course, but it was such a small number of counterfeit Fur-BEs with this issue, what were the chances of this one being fake? Besides, what was the worst Hannah could ask for? She could be a bit of a goody-goody at the best of times, and world peace and a lifetime supply of Gummy Bears wouldn't exactly be a curse.

After excitedly tearing off the wrapping paper and pulling her new robotic buddy from the box, Hannah beamed with joy as it introduced itself, flapping its feathery 'wings' and giddily rolling its eyes. It prompted Hannah to share a secret both of them could keep, and so eagerly Hannah whispered into its ear, and cuddled it tight! It was everything she'd imagined... and more!

A few minutes passed, and as Hannah played with her new pet, she began to feel a little funny. It almost felt like faint heart palpitations, as though her bosom was throbbing. Soon, she had a sensation as though her bra was getting tighter, and tighter...

Whilst Hannah might be wondering just when, or if her breasts will stop growing, one thing is for sure - it isn't really much of a secret anymore...
