I knew it would happen eventually (and honestly I'm surprised I made it this long) but I forgot to hit "record time-lapse" on this comic, so all I have to show for it are these roughs. Sorry!

My 10yo likes to online game with his friends. Organizing such matters can be a hassle for everyone, so wherever possible I try to allow him some autonomy to call friends without getting parents involved. Hooray for independence! Boo for never knowing if you're alone! 😅

I'm happy to report that this comic didn't actually happen, but that's not to say it never will when there's a chance of a window into your household being opened at any moment! (Did you catch the double entendre title? I was proud of that! 😉)

Originally I had Cooper coming over at the end to say more embarrassing things, but that was a lot of moving parts for a single panel, plus Fran had to be quite small to fit him him. In the end I decided to move Coop to the bonus panel and make a bigger deal of Fran's embarrassed expression instead.

Another last minute change was the iPad screen. I only had Vincent calling a single friend (the turtle) but when I started looking up reference for video call screens, I saw screenshots of calls with multiple people. Although it's not common, 10yo has had multi-person calls before and what better way to make it even worse for Fran?! I added Beans and the chicken kid from the Nuggets comic and then a very unflattering view of Fran (because it's ALWAYS unflattering when he turns the iPad on me!)
