I can't believe I apparently completely forgot to post this, given how long it took to produce >.O

So this is the final result of a commission for a fella called Katnor. He's a budding macro novelist and asked for a cover image for his current story, which takes place in Budapest, a place just around the corner from here, so boy do I hope he's not predicting anything here.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun to do, but boy was rendering the Hungarian parliament lots of work. Very 40k-esque, but unlike in 40k art, where the action tends to happen in the foreground and the backdrop can usually be less detailed, here the focus is meant to be in the back, around the architecture, which means all of that masonry has to be rendered to an equivalent level to the "main attraction"

Anyway, both he and I are very happy with the results. I have nitpicks, because when don't I, but it's nice to have something big and rendered to show off again :3

As is probably evident from my lack of uploads, I'm stretched a little thin at the moment. Most of my time is spent organizing things for my upcoming move, catching up on some offline projects that have fallen behind as a result of the changed situation and just generally being anxious about the future.

Sketch suggestion should be posted later today, and I still have the pimp doodles to share. I was hoping to have all of them done to make big post, but I guess just showing the ones that are done and sharing the others later is just as good - pads out the post history, if nothing else.
