Huey Lewis ain't got nothing on this ...

Hey everybody. Halfway through the month and I barely have anything to show for myself, at least as far as finished artwork is concerned anyway :b~

Let's dive right into it, shall we?

-

In chronological order - first we have a bit of fan art I did for Carrot's and Vixel's "The Forest Of Love" game that can be supported here>> https://www.patreon.com/CarrotsCritters

As I'd mentioned on the public post, Penny's definitely my personal favorite of the lot, and I did actually recently discover a little more interaction options with her when I went back into the game. There's tons of hidden gimmicks, scenes, stories and stuff to discover in TFOL, so don't write it off for it's surface level adult theme. It can be a lot more than that, if you let it.

Next is a commission I took on from Abyssal again, this time of his D&D dragon born. This came through with only a few minor snags that were mostly down to there not being a definitive ref, with prior artist stylizations obscuring some proportional details. Everything else came together pretty good. Despite being a very minor part of the image, I'm very pleased with how the city background turned out. It was described as a sort of steam punk-ish place, which usually isn't my art direction at all, but I like what I managed to put there to sell the idea :3

Moving along, another one for Tankana, who has been somewhat of a load-bearing pillar of my financial situation throughout the years, so thank you to that end X3

Here we have the princess indulging with a ... lifeform of undefined organic composition. Maybe she can shed some light on the exact nature of this creature in the comments below, but we never specifically defined much about the creature's design or physiology. Looking at it now, I realize I almost 1:1 ripped off Mass Effect Hanar's, which is funny given that one magazine you can buy XD

Alternate version with more juices, because royalty requires rehydration ...

And lastly the results of last night's doodle session with Kalahari. I very much doubt I'll be carrying a lot of the vixens' universe into light with how overburdened I already am with everything else I'm wanting to do and don't get around to, but as Kal put it yesterday, single scenes can help to alleviate that pressure, even if it sometimes leads to the audience having more questions that'll never get answered.

So here we have Megaera having a conversation, one with exponential potential for hostile escalation, which is why her opposite has been given both incentive and enhanced ability to refrain from movement beyond the strictly necessary.

To paraphrase Dr. Kaufman from the Brosnan era Bond movies: "Torture really isn't my field of expertise, it's more of a hobby. But I am very gifted." . Paint further pictures in your head at your own risk ;3

-

That concludes the big uploads for today. I have very little to show in terms of doodles and sketches but I will spend some time tomorrow assembling what I have and putting it out as a T1 upload.

As for now, time to upload publicly!

All other creatures in the universe that came across such tentacle beings are usually afraid of them, since they tend to be pretty straightforward and can appear agressive or hostile if you are not accostumed to their behaviour. You need to spend a little time to learn to know em, then they ain't that bad. Tankana actually have a large pool of them. They all come in varrying sizes, shapes and colours, some can even change their appearance and colours at will.

Tankana

I do enjoy drawing her and this time around I was actually spared from drawing each of those spine quills separately XD It occured to me this morning that I absolutely could have used QOTSA's mosqito song lyrics for both title and description >.

Tankana looks great (especially with those lovely tentacle colors). And I love seeing how this little "dinner date" turned out with the added color. I wouldn't want to be sitting across from her exactly, but I do love seeing her in a good mood x3 You remind me that I really should click that TFOL bookmark that's been staring at me.

Kalahari

It's all about using the most positive language possible. After all, how could there possibly be anything malicious behind a face of smiles and kind words? :3 Don't worry too much. It shortens your life expectancy. I suspect Tankana knows how to take care of herself. Even hybrids of dragons tend to be fairly resilient X3 I certainly wouldn't spend too much time with my hands near it, but that might be prejudice on my part 9w9

Thanks dude =^w^=

Absolutely gorgeous work, as always~

I don't remember ever hearing a "you're tied up because there will likely be torture in your future" kind of situation not merely as something positive but as a "I'm doing a favor for you here" kind of thing. I have... well, no actually that many questions, but a lot of worries ;) Tankana seems to have found a lovely pet though. Let's hope it isn't too rough on her :) And the dragonborn looks really nice. That book looks like it might be a bit dangerous to read.
