About translation / 翻訳について

I’m really not good at foreign languages, so when I first started running my Fanbox (where I serialized Touhou series works), I relied on a translator’s help.

After I stopped serializing Touhou works, I no longer provided translations and just uploaded things as they were.

However, from time to time I still receive messages about translations. (For example: “Will you be translating the CG set you posted before?” / “Do you plan on doing translations in the future?” / “If you won’t be translating, could you at least post the original text?” and so on…)

Originally, I had no plans to continue doing translations, but since I kept receiving these inquiries, I asked some people around me for advice. Many suggested that I try using AI translation. So, for the most recent upload [Cheeky Oyster (BLACKSOULS)], I decided to give ChatGPT’s translation function a try.

That said, I haven’t really seen much reaction to the translation itself…

So I wrote this blog because I’d like to hear the opinions of those who have read the ChatGPT-translated text.

Just in case there might be errors in the translation, I included the original text in the file as well—but I wonder if anyone even checked it, since nobody has mentioned it. (ㅠㅠ)

If it’s no problem for readers that I use a machine translator, then for the time being I’d like to continue providing translations for works that need them.

What do you all think, as the people who follow my artwork?

私は外国語が本当に苦手なので、初期の頃にFanboxを運営していた時（東方シリーズを連載していた頃）は翻訳者の助けを借りて連載をしていました。

その後、東方シリーズの連載をやめてからは翻訳をせず、そのままアップロードするようになりました。

しかし時々、翻訳についてメッセージをいただくことがあります。

（例：「以前公開したCG集は翻訳していただけますか？」 / 「今後翻訳する予定はありますか？」 / 「翻訳の予定がないなら原文だけでも公開していただけますか？」など…）

そこで、今回アップロードした [Cheeky Oyster (BLACKSOULS)] に関しては、試しにChatGPTの翻訳機能を使って翻訳してみました。

とはいえ、その翻訳に関して特に反応がなかったようで…。

そこで、このChatGPTによる翻訳をご覧になった方の意見を伺いたく、このブログを書くことにしました。

万が一誤訳があるかもしれないと思い、ファイルには原文も同梱しましたが、誰も触れていないので実際に見てくださった方がいるのかどうか分かりません（ㅠㅠ）。

もし読者の皆さんにとって機械翻訳でも問題なければ、しばらくは必要な作品についてこのまま翻訳を続けてみようと思っています。

私の作品を見に来てくださる皆さんのご意見はいかがでしょうか？
