A wolf mother gets dressed.

I got a little more bold with merging my layers along the way. And the result was that it felt a lot less like housekeeping some byzantine layer structure and more like a naturalistic creative process. This is something I’ll be doing more in the future, letting go of the idea that all these layers are sacred and need to remain available for endless adjustment -- which might also save me from overworking a piece. I was also more adventurous with the rim lighting in this one, and I’m still on the fence about it. I do enjoy a subdued tonal range, but you tell me what you think.
