Progress report (12/21/24) (Demo)

Alright, hi everyone! I just finished another college semester and I’m super happy it’s finally over. This gave me a lot more time to focus on development. I wanted to start by saying that I scrapped all the old game concepts you may have seen here before, simply because they weren’t fun to play or develop—all the enemies felt too one-sided and one-dimensional.

That’s why I completely changed the game structure. I’m calling this new project Corrupt Descent, which is a twist on those lethal company-style games where you explore a dungeon and try to survive enemies along the way. You’ll descend via an elevator into a randomly generated underground environment. The goal is to gather loot and bring it back to your lift, where you can convert it into money to spend at the shop. There will be a variety of temptation traps and unique enemies to avoid. My plan is that the deeper you descend, the tougher the enemies become—but the loot also becomes more valuable.

I just run it on my steam deck to check it, except the screen terminal which need a keyboard, it run well and control are easy. It's a good proof of concept. As for bug, I guess it's a very early access state lol
