The title of book 1 is Dao of Delivery, so you're definitely on the right track! The plan is to end the series with Song well within middle age.

Companies with martial artists/cultivators who escort VIPs and transport important goods across dangerous regions. Except in this story I feel it will start with Song creating his own personal legacy first with daring, solo transportation jobs with the actual company forming near the last third/quarter of the whole series.
