Merry Xmas and a progress update

It's the time of the year when we eat too much, drink too much and decompress a little.

I figured I should do a quick status update, where I am on the various projects. It's been a pretty crazy couple of months, but at least I figure I've been productive :)


Love of Magic Book 2 NG+ is quietly beavering away, having added two new scenes (one with Kath, and one with Kath/Bella), and completing the porting effort with all the NG+ codebase bells and whistles (improved graphics, rollback, etc). You can activate it by going to the Steam build of Book 2, and setting the Beta branch to NgPlus. I've got a couple of additional events (one with Emily, and one with Molly and Akane), and a couple of NG+ storyline events to go before I push it to the default branch.

 Morningstar's final update is also done. It adds content meant to be played after the game is done, by loading the end of game save and continuing from day 115. There's a small Path of Light event with Lin, but the heat turns up on Path of Fire, where Lin snuck in a threesome. You also have a chance to get closer to Sophia, and there's various social media posts from Katie and Snowdrop, as well as Demonfox articles. You can play it right now on the Development Branch of Morningstar; it'll move to default branch once Wings of Empire's Steam Page is approved.

Which gets us to what I've been spending most of my time on recently. Wings of Empire is a Space Opera set in a world where the Roman Empire never fell; it'll be my focus over the next couple of years. Inspired by Scifi stories like David Weber's Honorverse, CJ Cherryh's Merchanteer Saga, Elizabeth Moon's Trading in Danger, Jack Campbell's The Lost Fleet, and movies from Starship Troopers to Space Battleship Yamato.

The first ten days of the game are now playable on the Development Branch of Morningstar, where it'll sit until it hits Early Access sometime next year. The sandbox is also open for play, with ~30 days worth of content, covering sexy times, background story and getting to know the other characters.

It's a departure from Urban Fantasy, but hopefully you'll enjoy it. Expect fleets meeting in combat, steamy romance, and a hero that's not afraid to shoot first. The Steam page is currently in review with Valve; I'll let you know more once that changes (after Xmas, I suspect).
