Katie's Theme (Rock)

2 weeks ago I asked the amazing Alexander Nakarade to create some custom music for Morningstar: Book of the Fallen. Specifically I wanted three songs around a central theme (so they are all clearly related) custom-made for Katie.

The first one out is her Rock Theme, which I think is the central part of the triptych. I mentioned I wanted elements of Celtic rock, and passed him some songs (like Shipping up to Boston) that were inspirations for me when writing Katie both in Love of Magic and in Morningstar.

To celebrate the three songs I also decided I wanted to re-create some famous record shots. For the Rock theme I used Bruce Springsteen's famous "Born In The U.S.A." poster as an inspiration.

So there you have it; working with Alexander on this has been absolutely awesome, he's really reactive and I got my first drafts literally within hours of reaching out to him. I think he nailed what I was going for. If you need custom music for your own project, I can't recommend him enough.

I'll be making another poster to celebrate the Romance and the Epic theme versions, hoping to get those out on the 10th and 17th respectively. You'll also be able to see them show up in today's build on Steam. As always, if you're a Patreon and want a key, just let me know here or on Discord.

Attached is the music at high-quality uncompressed .WAV and .FLAC formats, as well as an easy MP3 version (which is the one I'd recommend for anyone just looking to listen to music).
