Morningstar Update

I took a two week deep dive into Morningstar, and got to know the characters a little better. Some of them I knew coming in, and some ambushed me, dragged me into a ditch and screwed me senseless. Here's a quick look at the state of the build.

The main story's done up to day 7; that's about half of what's planned for Act I of Morningstar, and I'm really happy with how it's shaping up. About half the main cast has been assembled, and I'm loving them all.

The sandbox is ready for action. You can go drinking at the Last Drop, training different skills at Clan Territory MMA gym (shadowboxing for INT, sparring for CHR, lifting for STR or coaching for $), grab a coffee at Caffeine Confessions or go running in the underground tunnels at Cobble Hill.

The two first big side-quests are also in. Lin (above) was originally just supposed to be one of the random stand-ins for the coaching events (the hot female equivalent of Goon #3), but I ended up loving her enough that she went on to get a huge side-quest.

The other big side-quest now in is Snowdrop's portfolio quest. Snowdrop shows up as a part-time bartender with ambitions of making it big on Broadway.

So... that's Morningstar so far. I'll be putting it down until I'm done with LoM's Act XV, after which I'll return to it (and putting a good chunk of work into the new combat mechanic). You can check it out on the Morningstar Branch of Book 3.
