Act IX Release Candidate
Added 2021-12-03 06:46:48 +0000 UTCOkay, I've chewed through every reported bug (I think), fixed up a bunch of little annoyances with the Strategy Battle, and completed the last few events. Building a full set of Steam builds today, then spending the weekend testing. As always, if you don't have it on Steam, and you'd like a Steam key, just DM me and I'll sort you out.
The attached image is from a new event (plays after Akane receives the Shadow Hunter armor), and was originally planned for Act IX+, but since it wrote itself so quickly I put it into the Act IX update as a teaser.
Act IX+ will focus on The King's Dragon, and the people who live and relax there. The Chosen, of course, and Xochi's staying there after returning with MC. Val and Aoife consider it their local watering hole, as does the Brotherhood. Keira and Keith have been been known to hang out, as has Aino (here drinking tea with Hakone). And finally it wouldn't be the King's Dragon without some more stories from our two resident dragons (assuming you've solved the Little Favor Questline).
As a fun side-note, I accidentally set the wrong resolution for the image above; I was going to render it at 4K, instead I accidentally rendered it at 56k (10,000 x 5,625). I included it in the attachments, in case anyone wants to check out the super-highres version.
Between the work to upgrade Book 1 and Act VII/VIII, this act's taken a while to get out; hopefully real life cooperates and Act IX+ happens a little faster :)
