Act VIII
Added 2021-07-25 06:44:47 +0000 UTCHopefully this is the final update for Act VIII; I had a brief scurrying around (as you can see from the rapidly growing changelog in the last 2 days) fixing little bugs, and then fixing the bugs my fixes caused. But I think (hope?) that 0.2.5b is our final candidate.
This is a main-line update, taking us from day 134-151, and advancing a number of the key themes of Book 2. It hopefully also sets up Act IX: The Army of Life properly.
With Act VIII done, I'll be shifting focus towards VIII+, which will hopefully be a nice palette cleanser. Where both VIII and IX are quite epic in scope, VIII+ will return to Edinburgh, and flesh out the world there a little. I'm planning more books from Diana, chatting with Mom and maybe some fun with Chloe. Who knows, we might have time for some hot coffee as well.
Steam is updating shortly (as always you can watch the game being built in real-time if you're on the Beta branch; each entry in the changelog corresponds to a Beta Branch update).
