Updated Themes
Added 2020-09-11 09:12:28 +0000 UTCI'm working my way through Act VI, and one of the things I'm reminded of is that I'd forgotten to add in theme songs for the two new Chosen.
Bella's theme is called "The Foreign Tale"; once again from the fantastic Alexander Nakarada; I loved how it combined an initial softness and peace, then gradually getting more aggressive with time.
For Akane I wanted something more Japanese; I initially went looking for Taiko Drums, but I ended up falling for this Shamisen / flute duet; it fits Akane really well, a bit timeless, a bit melancholic. The song is called Sakuya, by Peritune, and you can see the rest of their work here. I'm doing a full pass through the game now (testing Quest integration, fixing up little things and cleaning up bugs), and the first time I heard it in-game was during her Chosen Date. I think it captured her perfectly.
Finally, Alexander did a remaster of Emily's Theme (Nomadic Sunset); I decided to bring it in for variety. Her theme is still the original, but occasionally I'll switch the alternate version, like in the opening of Act VI.
