July Poll: #Jenny4Chosen
Added 2020-07-19 04:56:47 +0000 UTC A Civil war has broken out in the discord; only you, dear voters, can save us. Jenny's been everyone's favorite sub barista... but is she more?
The arguments for and against, as presented by their Champions.
In the YES corner; lead by Lead Renderer Intern, PandaMan. Panda's been working on Love of Magic fan-art for several months now; I've shared his wallpaper previously, and he's even got a couple of animation clips he helped do for the game in the next update. His contribution for #Jenny4Chosen is a video, envisaging Jenny spreading the word and gathering followers for the player.

In the NO corner, represented by Spellchecker Extraordinaire Krellen;
"Forcing Jenny into the position of Chosen causes a huge disruption to the story; she is largely unknown to the rest of the cast, having served at this point as nothing but background and a side character. To make her fully Chosen requires diverting development resources into making her story arc mandatory, as well as crafting new plotlines to introduce her to the main cast and to the other Chosen in a way that they will accept her. Buy-in from Akane, especially, will be difficult, given her own path towards becoming Chosen, and Jenny will try to fit into it with no destiny whatsoever.
By voting no, you are allowing Droid to focus his efforts on further fleshing out the existing story and side content with the existing Chosen, which will not be possible if he must weave Jenny into the fabric of the story at this late point in the game.
Jenny was always meant to be a side character; she is not and should not become part of the main cast now."
So there you have it. I'm actually happy with either option; Jenny can remain as a barista in Edinburgh as we move into Book 2. Or she can take the step fully into the story, and become the Apostle of the player.
