2025-08-19 10:17:47 +0000 UTCThe cold open here... I'd go as far as to say perfect. We could do a full episodes' worth of analysis on this alone. Masterful, in all honesty, following those two episodes like that... that's how you do it. Miyano Mamoru... I don't have the words to give him the credit he's due this episode. Even after all these years, the tears were welling up listening to him here. If I was forced to chose a single word to describe his performance here, it'd be "beautiful". If I'm honest, I think we all fell a little bit in love with Kurisu when she turns and hits that goofy Kyouma laugh. That actually stands out to me as one of the great character moments, just in general. The Suzuha/Titor, reveal? Confirmation? Official confirmation is the best I can do, but, actually, this is something I really respect, and something which I think a lot of storytellers miss. A moment doesn't need to be shocking to be powerful. This isn't something that was kept secret from us, but, that moment where it's revealed to the characters, is still powerful in my opinion. I don't think it falls flat at all! Further thoughts are deferred to future episodes!
