Asuna is such an empathetic person, she couldn't see the army guys die so she ran in (most likely because of the trauma of people she lost during their raid, since she was in charge of many of them) she saved them but would have gotten killed if Kirito hadn't deflected the boss's attack. With the help of Asuna and Klein Kirito, he pretty much soloed the boss but almost died himself. In the end, they were able to save everyone except 3, and because of that Asuna and Kirito grew closer. I think this is the best episode so far, they are a great team. This was 6 months after the Murder mystery btw where they became friends
